Mike,
I have allways said with optics you get what you pay for, BUT with the Vortex scopes ,in my opinion for what it's worth, you get a little more than what you pay for. The crossfire that I have for sale is one of their entry level model's, and I must say compared to other brands in the same price range I would take this one any day of the week. A buddy of mine has one of vortex's mid grade scopes on his .22-250 and I would compare it to a nikon monarch that I had one of my rifles. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't give up my ol Leupold VXii 4-12ao on my remington 700 7mm, you have to pry that one out of my cold dead hands. But I would say these days when everybody is trying to stretch their dollar and get the best deal possible vortex is a good bang for your buck.
Not to mention the come with an no questions asked warranty, it doesn't matter if you slip on a rock out in the woods or slam it in your truck door in your drive way, you send it in and if they can't fix it they send you a brand new one. I have heard of people have problems with getting warranty to cover problems with Leupold and warranty expiring on nikon.
So with that being said, next time you arein the market for a new scope I would say the vortex is worth your time of taking a look at.
Good luck
Brad
