Looking to purchase a 16" barrel for my Encore. I would like something that you can buy factory ammo for as I do not reload. I would like a caliber for Whitetails. I am open to the caliber. Let me know what you have. Pics would be appreciated

I have one of these and 125 - 150 grain bullets work well for whitetails.

I found the same barrel at sportsmans guide for 224.00, haven't done anything with it yet but has ammo available from Hornady sold as 300 wisper the only difference is the case length the wisper is 0.10 shorter than the 300 AAC I'm told

I have a 44 mag that is 16.5 inches. It was a 15" bull barrell but has a 1 1/2" muzzle brake permentally installed and a 2x7 tc scope with new DNZ mounts. I shoot it as a pistol because it is illegal to hunt with a rifle unless you're 8' off the ground. Shoots the 240 gr. leverevolution Hornady bullet really good.
