This barrel still looks brand new other than the normal markings from hooking to the frame. It started out as a standard contour 24" and I shipped it to David White in OK, who cut and crowned it to 23" for me this past summer. If you're wondering why just an inch, it's more about how David crowns a barrel than the amount he cuts off to me. He does and excellent job. It's a very nice shooter, and easy to tote. It's very accurate with factory Fed. Prem. 150 gr. nosler partitions. David also filled in the rear sight holes that blends well with the barrel. I'm wanting an Encore, SS, standard contour, 24" 7mm.08.
