Educate me on these hinge pins. Types etc. when do u know u need one. I have an original Encore and love it. Have three barrels and use the same pin for all. Thanks. Jamie

Hey Jamie, It seems to me that after aloooot of use the hole thru the frame must get worn a little hense the oversize pins. I've never had a problem and can hardly get my pins out. If you don't have any slop or play don't worry about it. JMO. Mike

My first Encore damn near cured me from ever trying these guns a 2nd time. After tightening up the action with a bellm #1X pin and working on my trigger I'm a happy camper. If the hinge pin is loose you must tighten the action up.. My son uses the locker pin and likes it. To each his own.

I have a year 1 frame that will easily take a 2x hinge pin, only problem is that none of the barrels will. I haven't done any serious target shooting with it, but I know it's minute of ram with the 7mmBR barrel. One of those things I'm looking to start checking out.

Honestly, I have all the barrels I want or could ever need..... wait, look, there's another!!
