Anyone remove wood from an encore stock. I've got a nice walnut stock (not laminated) but it looks bulky.. I want to rasp it down a little and refinish the whole stock. Anyone remove wood from the grip area? Reshape the grip area?

Thanks

I don't think I'd use a rasp as it will knock out chunks of wood when the grain is different. Use a belt sander on the forend and one of those stand type belt sanders that have about 1-1 1/2" wide belt for the grip area and when you have it where you want it hit it by hand to follow the grain good. Have fun. Mike
