Well, just when I had my armory in order...An Encore SS 24" new, no box came home with me from the Wasilla AK gun show.
I have owned at least 50 Contender barrels, a half dozen frames (three TCRs) but new to these (ugly) guns.
In the early eighties, I worked for Dennis Bellm when he had PO Ackley Rifle Barrels. My first T/C that was not black powder was a Fireball.
In a fit of vanity, I traded off all the blue and rimless Contender barrels. SS is the option when you have salt water on three sides of you! I mostly shoot 30/40 and 25/20.
Now if I can just find/order a 405 or 444 barrel, all will be well in my world.
