Original JB Weld, slow setting (gray colored) not the fast setting (black).

I used some of the Brownells jell type on a Rem. 700. It seemed to work good. Although it was the only time I have ever bedded a rifle. So I am no expert. Embarassed

I use Devcon Steel.
This is what alot of the benchrest guys use and has worked good for me.
They say it has less shrinkage than the other bedding materials.

I have used Acraglas and Devcon 10110. Never had a problem with either but liked the Devcon 10110 better. They say it resists the solvents better.

Hi.
I was reading your post,Bedding compound.
Is it hard to do, what are the benefits of compounding.
I am building a varmint rifle using my T/C encore frame and a 308 barrel.
Thanks
