How well do you think an MGM 260 Remington with a 1:8 twist shoot 120 and 130 grain bullets?

It will probably shoot the 139 and 140s better. I have a 6.5mm 1 in 8 and it likes the heavier bullets. Mike

When Remington adopted the .260, they started producting their .260 barrels with a 1 in 9 twist (I've got one in a Model 7). I'm thinging they did this as a compromise for use with both their factory 120 and 140 grn bullets. If you are shooting a 1 in 8 twist, I would think that would definitely work better with bullets on the heavy end of the spectrum.
