Looking to put together a really short rifle for tight quarters hunting in ct. Our state requires 16" barrel and minimum .243 caliber for deer. Let me know what you've got. I'm open to almost any caliber except the real heavy magnums. I have a ML forearm so if it's a bill barrel great. I would prefer to buy a forearm as well though. Not looking to spend a ton as this is kind of an expirement.

I have a 308 barrel that was a 24" that was cut down by previous owner and re crowned. About a year ago i had to have it and have never shot it. Id take 265 shipped for it. Alan
