Ed has never responded to my emails. You'll probably have to call him. His website hot page is not up to date. I have called him about several barrels listed on his hot page and they are already sold. But he tells me that he does have MGM barrels sometimes available or coming for something similar to those I asked about.

his latest hot page is dated 1/1/2015. You are right about calling tho, he is "an old fart" and really doesn't like being "strapped" to a PC, so it's PITA chore he puts off as much as he can. He generally orders 15 per quarter and will "order" whatever you want for about the same price, usually ordering what seems "hot" from experience, or requests. He also attends a lot of gun shows, so weekends are pretty much tied up and a bad tome to reach him, so try M-F, or better, M-Th..

He actually got back to me before 8:00 this morning!
He has what I want but it's more than I can spend right now!
He'll give me a generous trade on my Super 16 but that still doesn't get me close enough to his asking price for a new MGM

sorry it didn't work out, but at least it was a decent encounter with him. From what I saw most of his MGM's were at 295, which is a lot cheaper for a much better product than a S&W barrel at full retail.

I agree that his prices are fair! Just need to lean more toward a trade right now ! Especially after the holidays.
A trade with him will only cover about half,so maybe I can save some scratch and get one in a few weeks!
In the mean time, maybe I will come across a used one!

Still looking !

I would recommend that you call Ed if you can. Returning emails is not one of his strengths. Great guy to deal with. Twitch24

They didn't make very many 35 Rem's in the 21, and deleted the 35 Rem before the 23's. Fact is they didn't make very many in the 16 either. Your best bet is someone is willing to part with a C/S, MGM or Bullberry (first they have to have one, then be willing to part with there's for a what? shorter T/C made. I'd suggest biting the bullet, selling your 16, and have MGM make you a longer one, or check with ed's. You might be bumping for three or four years for this ad to pan out. Just being realistic, sorry.
