Did TC ever make a heavy 20" blue 223 Encore barrel? I'm looking for a 223 barrel and came across the one in question....I couldn't find any info as to those ever being made.

Thanks.

Probably from the Custom Shop, or it's been cut down and re-crowned (which, depending on the gunsmith, could be a very good thing). Standard length for a "heavy" barrel is 26". Although I love the heavy barrel profile, I prefer my barrels at 24" and below.
All the best,
Glenn

If at first you don't succeed... buy newer / better equipment!

Glenn, thanks for your response. My guess goes right along with your info. I like the longer heavy barrels but will consider others depending on price.

Thanks again.

There was a run that was put up for sale by TC when S&W took over and the guess is they were a special run for some company. I've got a friend who picked one up in 308. That one shoot extremely well, makes a superb carbine.

The were clearanced at $200 plus shipping.

Honestly, I have all the barrels I want or could ever need..... wait, look, there's another!!
