YES, T/C has made stainless fluted barrels in 44 MAG for the Encore, this one is 22".
I don't know if these were a special copy, but they aren't marked as Custom Shop.

Are these 22" 44 mag barrels actual stainless steel or weather-shield coated? Accurate? Long throated?

Haus of Arms has a Bergara 22" 44Mag Barrel. I'm looking for part numbers for the Encore forend that fit the TC 44Mag barrel made years ago. Got the barrel, just need a forend. Any help is appreciated.

Anything more than 18-20" is counter productive in a .44mag, the bullet will begin to slow down and or the gains are negligible. All of the powder burns up by then. Unless you just want the long site radius. See the attached link.
http://www.ballisticsbytheinch.com/44mag.html

Now if you were going with a .444 Marlin, then you would see velocity gains since you can stuff more slower burning rifle powder in there.

I too have a 12" 44mag barrel and it will shoot 1.5" at 100 with handloads. A 16-18" bbl would be a nice woods gun. Smile
