I looked at a 12 gauge encore barrel the other day. It has a very thin barrel. I wondered how the sights and scope base were held on, probably glued. I looked down the barrel and noticed that all screw holes are drilled through the barrel. On a rifle that would be taboo, evidently on a shotgun there is not enough pressure to worry about. I still do not like the barrel that thin.
