Just finished recoating this Contender. It was caught in a flood and was left for 6 months.
It was a total rust bucket. Duracoat works wonders!

Fabulous looking 'fireplug'. What's the chamber?
Speeks highly of choate execution.
Many a super 14 brought to carbine use by a spot of weld, eh?
Thanks for sharing,
Jimmy

It is a 223 barrel.
It was caught in the Louisiana flood last year and forgotten about for 6 months.
When I got it it was a total pile of rust and would not even open.
Yep the muzzle brake was welded 25+ years ago.
Not the prettiest contender around but now it is functional again.
Thanks
