I bought some brass that had been tumbled in walnut media? There is red dust on the inside. I tumbled the brass in corn cob media and it came out better. There is still some red dust or rouze? on the inside of the cases. Is there a easy way to clean the inside? If I do not clean the red stuff from inside the cases, will it effect the powder over time?

The red is just dust from the walnut, put a dryer sheet in the media - a little non-ammonia base cleaner will help as well. You might try a blow dryer to get it out.

Honestly, I have all the barrels I want or could ever need..... wait, look, there's another!!

I tumble my real dirty brass in walnut first, then tumble in corn cob media to polish and remove walnut dust. Never seen the walnut residue as a problem myself.

I was worried more about powder contamination over time
