Meh. A few years ago, I would have said it was accurate. S&W is stepping up it's game lately.

I've dealt with Customer Service for parts a few times now, and they have been great.

Custom limited runs of barrels are starting to come out now. Haus of Arms just had a shipment of 300 AAC barrels with the 1:7.5 twist rate, vice the standard .30 caliber 1:10 twist rate T/C has used for years and years. http://www.hausofarms.com/LIMITED-EDITION-TC-Barrels_c_1888. html

The 50th Anniversary G2 Contender came out very nice. http://www.hausofarms.com/50th-Anniversary-ThompsonCenter-Li mited-Edition-G2-Contender_p_1211.html

They just released a new Semi-Auto .22 in a Magpul stock - the T/CR22: https://www.tcarms.com/firearms/semi-automatic/t-cr22. It's supposedly compatible with many Ruger 10/22 aftermarket parts, which I think was a smart idea. http://www.guns.com/2018/05/04/thompson-center-debuts-new-t- cr22-rifle/

They also just released a new "Long Range Rifle" out of their Performance Center: https://www.tcarms.com/firearms/bolt-action-rifles/performan ce-center-t-c-lrr/performance-center-t-c-lrr

Although I still prefer Rochester N.H. barrels over most of the barrels S&W owned T/C has put out in recent years.... that was then, this is now. They are stepping up their game. Took them a while, but things are looking up.

I recently purchased a new G2 stainless frame. No complaints, other than the standard "It needed a trigger job" that was also needed on N.H. manufactured Encores and G2's anyway.

I'll buy a new S&W manufactured T/C Encore ProHunter frame for $335 - $340 (shipped from HoA) before I plunk down nearly close to that for a used N.H. frame. No offense meant to anyone on this site - I feel that way about any of the $300'ish used frames for sale lately. I realize some feel differently, and that's their prerogative. If they want to spend as much, if not more, on a used frame, that's their business. If the prices are that close, I'll buy new, as S&W owned T/C has been treating me right.

All the best,
Glenn

If at first you don't succeed... buy newer / better equipment!
