Barrel has a very small rust spot about 1/8" into the unrifled part of the muzzle. The remainder of the barrel is in excellent condition. The forearm is in excellent condition. Scope mount block and screws included. There are no "filler" screws for the scope mount holes. These barrels and forends are nearly non-existent. I am selling it because I no longer shoot blackpowder and purchased a center fire rifle barrel for the Contender. There have been less than 10 shots fired from this barrel.
$350, plus actual shipping cost. Pymt by PayPal, certified check or USPS money order. 5 day inspection - buyer pays return shipping. Barrel must be unfired and returned in the condition received. Must notify seller within 5 day limit prior to shipping return. Thanks!

I replied to Mainer by email and PM, but here is the pic and information provided to him.
Apparently, when the rifle was cleaned I failed to remove some residue at the end of the muzzle, or possibly moisture was on that portion from a finger print or something. I hadn't had the gun out of my safe in a few years, and it was cleaned and oiled good when stored. I was quite surprised to find the spot.
The area is in the unrifled portion that is used to seat a sabot, so it is not a functional issue and I suppose one could extend the chamfered/counterbored area to remove the damage if desired. It does not extend on around the muzzle - just as shown in the pic.
