I am looking into purchasing a turkey barrel for my encore and was wondering if anyone has shot one and how did they like it? How does it pattern? How's the kick? Any info would help.

I use one, a short camo that I put a PolyChoke II on as well as a Limbsaver recoil pad and the stock fiber optic open sights.

I shoot Remington 12 gauge 3" magnum 2 ounce shells and the recoil is substantial, but I can control the pattern. It is light and short and it handles really well in the forest.

Will be using it again in a couple of months as I drew a spring turkey tag.

Turkey tags????? What's up with that? We got Thunder Chickens galore here in CA and even have them wandering the streets of Sacramento and many other cities wreaking havoc. Unfortunately we can't shoot them in town.index.php?t=getfile&id=623&private=0
