Springs can lose tension through a lot of use. Bellm offers stiffer springs, and that may help. But with more use, that one will eventually get weaker. You'll notice that particularly if you didn't stone the locking bolts. Sometimes even a stiffer spring won't help. What's far worst is one that locks up super tight when the gun is fired (recoil can let it go under a little further, then bind the action up. You Don't want that happening when out in the field and need a second shot. Swapping locking bolts can also make both refuse to lock up too, or one seize after shooting.
