Who here has collected other T/C issued items other than firearms and the accessories that are associated with them ?

I bring this topic up for discussion because I have collected a few such items and as the topic description indicates it is a knife.

T/C issued a knife every year for several years.I bought three over the years but sold or traded two of those.I did however keep the one that I liked the most and here it is.

Who else may have collected the T/C issued knives?

I have an early T/C Contender belt buckle somewhere. Will have to dig it out and get a picture or two of it. Never used it as a buckle, kept in a drawer. Thanks for reminding me of it.

Not the knives, but I did get the Gold Belt Buckle, a contender gold tie-clasp, half-dozen Angry cat hat-pins, Banner, counter mat. Brother has about a dozen contender display cases, banners, mats, patches, almost every version of every Catalog, Belt buckles made from sliced frames, Presentation cases (all the models),cartridge "wheels",etc.. I do have a box full of Fox-Ridge catalogs, and a good set of T/C catalogs. A binder full of the early contender magazine ads, schematic and owner manuals.
I never got a knife just because someone put their name on it, or called it a limited edition "collector" knife. It had to be useful in the field or home, and I never saw T/C's as being such. But then, I never even took the belt-buckle out of it's packaging either, but it looked great. Same with the tie clasp and hat-pins, I don't wear ties, and all that kind of stuff sits in my jewelry box. Patches sit in a box, once in a while one gets sewed on my skeet shooting vest. Most of the "paper stuff" is for reference sources.

It seems as though the knives,of all of the memorabilia, are selling for some substantial amounts of money. The last two of the T/C issued Puma Game Wardens that I tracked down sold for in excess of $500.00. There was another T/C issued knife, that I found on a knife collecting website, that also brought $500.00.

I really need that time machine.LOL.

Wish I hadn't sold them here, but....

I had a fair collection of TC Catalogs (85-2000 or so)
Fox Ridge Catalogs (starting with either #1 or 2, and then 6 or 7 more),
some dealer price sheets,
A Contender Lucite paper weight
Contender Belt buckle
TC Pins
Silver 25th Anniversary Pin
Patches
Contender Counter Mat
......

yeah, I had it bad. Sold most of it here several years ago. So, of course I wish I had it all back.

The TC knives were sold through Fox Ridge by the way.

Under the I wish I had category are the Lucite Cartridge Wheels.

Those cartridge wheels are very cool.

I recognize some of those catalogs. I still have a few in the attic somewhere.

You post this and don't provide pictures!

That's at least a 15 yard penalty.

Looks just like an SS angry cat only no angry cat etching. If I can get my wife to take a pix maybe I'll post it. For now I can post a link of a used one that looks identical except for the obvious rubs and a later serial number that just sold last night: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=45685009 8 . I got mine NIB for 300, shipped, and included all the other material, manual, warranty card, wrench, etc.

Jim,I remember seeing one of those before.

It looks different without the Cougar and the scroll work etched into the sides of the frame.

It would make a great platform for some personal engraving.

Congrats.
