I'm getting ready to mount my scope on my encore pistol should I loctite the base screws.

If God brings you to it He will bring you through it.

When I bought my 460 Katahdin barrel I read up on this subject and found more yes votes then no votes. So I did with the blue.

Blue for base screws, purple for ring screws. Never red on either.
All the best,
Glenn

Purple? Ring screws I use copper anti-seize, Silver I use the "grey" anti-seize. Ring screws are more prone to rusting, than base screws. Never had an issue where ring screws ever worked loose. I have had an issue where NIB and just received, the ring screws were rusted in. Had to drill them out, and talked them into SS ring screws, even for the black rings.
