I seen a 6mm contender for sale did Thompson make a 6mm barrel for the contender.

6 TCU, three years 1986,7,and 8 86 and 7 it was all three of the tcu's 6,6.5,and 7
The 7 was longest lived, 6.5 second at 5 years, 6 was shortest, just the 3 years.
The 6 TCU was the only 6/243 bore they ever made for the contender, The 7mm/284 didn't exactly see a lot of different chamberings, 7 TCU, 7-30, and 7 supermag or 7SM. You likely saw the 6 MM TCU at Gunbroker, it's been relisted several times. MrMontana wants a lot for shipping.

A long time ago, Bullberry had a good write up posted on their 6mm Bullberry (and a bit later with an improved version - 40deg shoulder). This was based on the 30-30 case. Looks like that article was dropped at some point. It is a good cartridge for those that like the Contender, but not the recoil of the 7x30 Waters.

These are the only two 6mm rounds that I know of loaded for the Contender.

SSK did some work with the whisper in 6mm, but they settled on the 30 (that's the 221 necked up to .308, otherwise known as a blackout or 30-221)

Honestly, I have all the barrels I want or could ever need..... wait, look, there's another!!
