Possibilities for rechamber of 6.5 Rem Mag could be:
26 Nosler
.264 Winchester Magnum
6.5 Prometheus
6.5 Rem. Mag. Improved
6.5x300 Weatherby-Wright-Hoyer
6.5x7mm STW
6.71 Lazzeroni Blackbird

...feelin' wild?

Think twice...shoot once.

not bigger in diameter, just longer. 6.5 Rem was a necked down 350 Rem Mag, which was a shortened 375 H&H mag. 264 win mag just puts what was shortened off back on.

a few of those are too fat for the encore, and MGM even says the blackbird is a bolt gun proposition only. 6.5X7STW is really a 6.5X8MMrem mag. 26 Nosler is too fat, we went through that the other day {(.532) and no belt)}. Even weatherby didn't venture into a 264 or 6.5 Weatherby jumping from the 257 to 270. 264 winmag had too much bad press as it was.

HE? Who's the mysterious "he"? Store it in Liquid Nitrogen, it might shrink enough to change the bore size from 6.5 to 6 mm, no guarantee though.

with the encore there's a "market" for almost any round you can possibly think of. It's just getting the right buyer with the right seller. That's the beauty of a forum like this, a wider audience to read your ad.

By our "rules" you can't sell it for him, so tell your friend to join and he can see if he can sell or trade it for a 243 barrel if that's what he really wants.
