water filled bottles work nice for a little target action.

Eggs work well also. And they are cheaper than the bullets to boot. I set a dozen eggs on dirt mound at 100 yards and my wife loves to shoot them with the .17hmr. Instant feedback. She doesn't care a bit about poking holes in paper though.

If she shoots em with "hot loads" are they your scrambled eggs for breakfast that day? Laughing

I like shooting steel at longer distances, 300+ yds. My club has AR500 plates out to 500 meters.
I like to see the plate swing, then hear the clang of the metal.
For grins and giggles at an NRA Women on Target we have had women shooting at cans of cheap soda suspended from a frame by string on the tab. Hitting them with an AR at 50 yds and watching them burst makes the women giggle and ask for more ammo!

somehow I think those women would have more delight if those cans of cheap soda were replaced with their husband's cans of beer.

Yes, you adjust the velocity depending on whether you want over easy, sunny side up, over well or scrambled.

PETA would prefer naturally cracked and heated to the PEEP of perfection.

Yeah, but that would be a bit more bloody than a un-naturally cracked egg. And I suspect my wife wouldn't want to shoot those cute little fuzzies.
