just got a new prohunter frame,the shop also had a 350rem.mag 22in. bull barrel, it came home with me also,wow what a shooter

I had a Rem 350 Mag a long time ago that thing was a shoulder bruiser it was a little Remington 600 I think it was in the 60s.

in this pro hunter frame it is little pussy cat, recoil is very mild, the muzzle jumps up a good bit

I had one of the Remington Model 600 in 308 way back when. It was brutal on the shoulder as well. Finally got rid of it; now I wish I had it back. It was light, loud, and kicked like a mule, but was really nice in the woods.

Recoil and ballistics are almost identical to the .35 Whelen. Yes - you will definitely remember shooting it.

One thing that might help is using the 180 SSP Hornady, or any other fairly light for caliber bullet. In the encore, maybe the all-copper Barnes or Nosler E-tips. Which is one reason I'm breaking away from the 358 bore and going to the 338 bore. For the same weight bullet, they're longer, more streamlined with better BC's. a 338X350Rem Mag ought to be a great one.
