hat caliber would you recommend for long range ground hog hunting, I once shot a hog at 953yards with a 22-250 but is there a better option thanks

I see caliber as FAR less important than accuracy. In spite of what some people think, hogs aren't that hard to kill. Use a well designed bullet and hit it with a reasonable amount of speed and one caliber is just as good as the next. The question for you is what can you get that will put a decent weight bullet into a very small area consistently?
