t/c offers a 24" WS barrel fluted in a caliber i'm wanting
and i'm really not interested in the 28" prohunter ss
because of the length.
is this weather shield just a coating over regular steel, kinda like
duracoat/ceracote ?
thanks !!

I found it. I also checked T/C's sight and they still don't list any W-S in 24 length, just 26's. I even entered the part number in for a search and zilch. On that auction site a few months ago, there was a "matte" blue 7TCU contender barrel. They hadn't chamberted the 7 TCU in YEARS. Yrt the packaging was a blister pack just like that one. The custom shop hasn't been operational in years either. Never did find that 7 TCU anywhere on T/C's site. This morning, when I checked, it was dated 2015, so why wasn't that 24 W-S to be found? The only 35 Whelen listed was a 28 SS/fluted pro-hunter, No where close (leading 2 digits) to 1790. What's really crazy is 17xx was for 24 blues and some pistol barrels. WTF? T/C management anymore must all be crack-heads. Thanks for the auction number, just another piece of evidence that T/C's going to the dogs. Good luck getting it, if it's what you want.
