Got a chance to pick up 12" & 21" barrels.
What are your thoughts on these?
We mainly hunt deer.
Found some info on the internet that these are high pressures
for the contenders and others say ok?
Seeking Thompson Center items, anything TC pls pm me or nhmikel@yahoo.com

There's two chamberings for 375 Cal in the Contender, You neglect to mention just which one you're inquiring about. There's the 375 Win, which is basically a 30-30 necked up to 375. the other is a 444 Marlin necked down to 375, aka 375JDJ. Both were factory offerings although For a long time the 375JDJ was an SSK proprietary round. Now ask yourself, would the factory offer them if they were too high pressure for the Contender? Some of your source of info is highly suspect, bunch of yahoo's running at the mouth with a lack of knowledge and brains. 12" in either round is goofy, not enough barrel for the case capacity. 14 minimum, and slower powders would help out on the longer ones, 16 and up to 21/23". For deer, they're pretty much over-kill, especially the JDJ version; A lot of thump on both ends, part of the reason the factory offered the 375 win with the M/T in the pistol versions.
