ive got a 7mm-08 rem barrel for the Encore i have,, i want to start reloading for it but after reading alot about headspace issues with the Encore i want to make sure im doing it right,, i do reload for other rifels but never for the Encore,,, my plan is to take some factory ammo and site in the scope then start the reloading,, what do i need to know about the headspace for the Encore and how do i do it,,, any tips and tricks are welcome

I've got 10 encore barrels... havent had any headspace issues. I load it just like its my Rem 700

I agree with littleking..

FYI on the 7mm-08.
The load I've had great luck with is:
Barnes 140 gr. TTSX Boat Tail.
43.0 gr of H-380
CCI BR2 Primer
I used mixed brass..

Give it a try..

I have several barrels each one is different on optimal reloading characteristics.

Mine too.. My 223 has a deep chamber which I adjust my dies for.. My 270 loves them coreloks so I try to duplicate them.. The 7mm08 no issue at all... I'm still playing with.. Shooting about 1.5" now but it will be under 1" when I'm done . The pistol barrels are easy..

as with all things reloading,having all things the same for each case gives more constant results,headspace is no different,improper headspace can cause multiple problems,the best explanation and tools for this i have found on bellm's site for headspace getting it right
