Not picking on anyone, honest!!!, but what makes a TC Custom Shop barrel so special?

It came from the same source as the regular barrels (Fox Ridge was just a store front a couple feet from the factory - stopped by there in the 80s a couple times). Why should a standard factory chamber, in a standard length barrel, with a standard (or special for that matter) finish be worth more than the store bought one?

It's not like they paid more attention to it than they did anything else?

Just pondering for the sake of pondering.

Honestly, I have all the barrels I want or could ever need..... wait, look, there's another!!

It looked cool to have T/C Custom Shop stamped on the side?

The high luster blue 26" 6.5x55 I had was a really nice barrel. I also had a 26" stainless 280 that was was pretty accurate. They both were custom shop.

There are less of them subsequently supply and demand elevates their 'perceived' value.
They were released in formats that the factory stuff wasn't. ie.; 12" octagon, 6" octagon,& 15" bull.
They do look nice. I have a few just for that reason.

Think twice...shoot once.

I accept that the not standard are worth more, that's easy... but paying more for a Custom Shop 14" 22LR (in any luster) just because it says TC Custom Shop?

Scalloped barrel though? Ohhhhhhh
