Hello All,
I have installed a brake on my 243 15" pistol barrel. How should I go about getting this thing welded? Should I go to a gunsmith or a professional welder? Don't really want to screw my barrel up. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich

Should I just trade/sell, or alter it?

Gunsmith.

If at first you don't succeed... buy newer / better equipment!

I think welding would be a BIG mistake! The heat that would be required to do that could do damage to the barrel. If it is a screw on design then just install it by using some red Locktite and snug it to the barrel by hand. Don't use any tool to tighten. It will not be necessary

A good smith should be able to solder it I've heard.
