Recently got curious as to the 30 Herrett's performance as a 300BLK.
Stumbled upon a threaded barrel. No, it's a vented extension, threaded and pinned.
Trail Boss ended up providing the velocity sought.
(Pic removed. Way too big. Please resize pics before posting)
Forearm of spalted sycamore, stock of burly maple

Sunny, the blackout has way less case capacity but functions at way higher pressures. I don't claim to have the 'magic bullet' by any means.
The barrel's twist was a shortcoming as it's a 1:14" and to stabilize a big 168 gr. bullet requires around 1550 fps. My subsonic load is 5.5 gr. Trail Boss behind 110 gr. Hornady for 1020 fps.
I don't understand what's all the fuss to go subsonic unless it's for efficient use of a can, because the trajectories are shameful beyond 100 yds.
I'm more apt to rely on Bob Milek's original recipe provided to DuPont in their 5/1/85 publication "Making Your Contender Perform"
where a 150 gr. spitzer pushed by 21.3 gr. of IMR 4198 gets you 1760 fps for 1031 ft/lbs of knockdown energy.
I'd rather hunt than target shoot anyway.
