I have been watching these sagebrush youtube videos where they are shooting open sights primarily sharps 45-70 but lever actions and dinging the bell (targets.) I have a nice color cased hardened Encore frame and was thinking about getting a long barrel in 45-70, finding a pretty wood stock and putting the package together. Only hitch, I've never seen a nice long range vernier set up or other ladder type sights on an Encore. Anyone seen a setup up like this? Is it possible with an Encore?
