Does anybody know the right forend for a Bergara 45-70 barrel? I read a few places that it uses the muzzleloader forend, but then saw somewhere else where a guy was insistent that it didn't work and he used a rifle forend. Just hoping someone can confirm one way or the other so I don't get the wrong one.
Thanks.
Vince.

I'll be putting it on a 45-70, don't know if that changes anything?

Otherwise, thanks for the response.

Have the 45 70 Bergara bbl. Used the std forend with no problems. I used a couple of 7mm Wave washers from Lowes to help float it. Those wave washers have a sligh convex
that actually match the contour of the bbl.
Mine is a very good shooter.
