High. I use mediums on 40mm objectives, but for 50's, I'd go with high. Doubt you would have clearance with mediums.
All the best,
Glenn

I put a Leupold 50mm scope on my Encore in high Burris extreme tactical rings and it's almost too high.

I decided to put the highs on, with an mgm baseand leuy rings, it's alot lower than yours, around an 1/8" from the barrel. By the way nice setup.

Thank you. I want to try another rail before I commit to anything. Thats just a Weaver rail. I was going to go with the EGW rail but maybe I'll try that MGM one.
Thanks for the info.
If I measure from the top of the barrel to the middle of the scope's objective lense, it's just over 1.5" so it's not too bad as it sits.

I've mounted 50mm scopes in medium Warne rings with no issues.

The leuy rings I used were the PRW style, and my barrel is a MGM thats .850 at the muzzle, so if you barrel is the heavy taper encore at .810 at the muzzle the med rings might work better.

I have a Leupold 4-12x50mm on my muzzleloader barrel. I have the high Leupold rings and base. Fits but not room enough for my Butler Creek Scope cap to fit on it.
