Hey Guys, I just bought a Reeder barrel in 284, it's a 12 s.s. engraved barrel and came with a new set of dies. I can't find any reloading info any where on this cartridge. I see Gary sells a reloading book for all his cartridges but thought someone on here may have the info I'm looking for. It sounds like it's a necked down 357 max. case. Thanks in advance. Mike Very Happy

lepcur : Peanut here i don't have the.284GNR but i just ordered the .240 RAPTOR going to use it to deer hunt in indiana.Should have my barrel in 10days. Already got my die set from Reeder.I take a .204 Ruger case an size up to take a .243 diameter bullet. He sent me his complete relaoding manuel with the die set. I'm going to start out with his test loads, I just need to get my barrel an check barrel to frame gap an adjust for head space. Then check for c.o.l. off the rifleings. Yes the .284GNR is a .357max. case necked down to a 7mm.or .284 diameter. In his relaoding book his test gun was acustom contender..12" barrel. Peanut

Hey Peanut, Thanks for the reply. Would you look in the book and let me know what I can expect with a 120 gr. bullet. I don't know how much info Gary has in the book on the 284 but could you get me some info out of it? Thanks man. Mike
