Worked up a great load a short time back for my S&W 500 Mag. I had ordered some 340 grain RNFP's from the Western Bullet Company. Their price is excellent by the way. Actual weight of the bullets averaged 367 grains but that was no problem. I sat them over 15 grains of Unique for an estimated speed of 1250 fps. They still have some buck to them but are nowhere near as bad as some of the T-Rex loads for this caliber. My wife even touched off a few. Great plinking load that would be big medicine for whitetails and such too.

Tell you one thing i did learn on 500 S&W two kinds of brass ,is that the brass with large rifle primer is a lot hotter then the large pistol with same load,Must be lighting powder better. 43 grains of Lil-gun is all i will do on a 275x bullet groups well
Get out and shoot something.
