My plan to use Leupold QR rings and bases so share scopes among my Encore barrels hit a 416 Rigby-sized snag this weekend. After 6-8 shots, the locking cams would pretty much spin freely, without tightening down. None of my shots hit the paper.

I'll probably switch back to the weaver mount for this particular barrel.

Sorry about your sad experience. I had wondered if there was a limit to what this style mount and rings would stand up to. Also questioned whether the two ring only would be sufficient enough to prevent scope "slippage", but that's another issue. Did you happen to notice any slippage as well? Thanks for the heads-up.
