I just pick up a 24" 38-55 Custom shop barrel..Does anyone know what the bore diameter is on them?
Also does anyone have any good loads for one?

Never heard of 1. Did you get any cases with it? I would assume it's a 358 diameter and the case is 55 mm but I don't know what case was used to make it. Do a general search on it and I bet you'll turn up something. Good luck. Mike

38-55 win. (bullet dia.376) brass can be made from 375. win. or 30-30 win. starting load 28.0 grains 4895
38-55 38 cal 55 grains Black powder about the era of black powder cartridges same as 30-30 information from Handloaders manual of cartridge conversions third edition. let me know how you do sounds like a fun project. Sunny
