just got a new Encore pistol frame and 308 barrel. When opening the barrel( after the shot) the extractor fully extends but doesn't extract the 308 case. This happens about 50 percent of the time , anyone know what could cause this. The load was 42 gr. of H4895 and 165 accubond also did this with 45grs of CFE335.

Most .308's do this right out of the packing. You need to tweek the extractor just a bit toward the case. You don't want it to scratch the case, but it needs to be almost touching. Takes a bit of trial, and test but will work. There are quite a few topics on here, that will address the issue. All in all its just one of those things.

The barter system is alive and well, but the learning curve can be painful.
