I have had mine for about six years and have taken a few deer with it. The best load i have found with mine is 70gr of triple seven FFF with a 350gr. Hornady Maxi-hunter conical. i have shot anything from a 240gr. to a 410gr conical. I will tell you the lighter the bullet the more it hurts in the hand.

That sounds REALLY cool. Did you start with a used barrel? Seems like it would be expensive to start with a new one and then add the cost of gunsmithing. Will you stick with open sights?

Do You mind me asking what it will cost in the end? Used barrel and smith work?
