I have read a lot of good things so would like to try and find a 20 ga rifled slug barrel to try on my Encore. I am heading to Indiana next year and am trying to decide between my muzzleloader or a slug gun...have to say my Encore 209x50 shoots great. But am tempted by the covenience of a slug gun, if i could get similar performance.

Just my opinion here but you can use the muzzleloader in shotgun and muzzleloader season and at extended range compared to a shotgun slug/sabot even with a rifled barrel. The 209x50 with a scope is also very accurate with the right load and either way, you're still shooting a single shot.

I am of the view that he should go for muzzle loader. I am having more than five years of experience in this field and I have used both of them. The good thing about slug gun is that it is convenient. But it lags behind muzzle loader when it comes to performance.

"all is well"
