I have a muzzleloader barrel from MGM and a laminate forend from Boyds. I like them both. Unfortunately if I tighten the forend down, I can't get the ramrod out. If I leave the forend loose enough to get the rod out, there's play in the forend. I'm thinking I should try to add pillars to forend to get the right spacing and still be able to pull the rod out. I've never done anything like this but it doesn't seem like it should be too hard. Can anyone tell me where to start, what to use, and how to do it?

Thanks.
Vince
