My 2 cents.... having made more than a few mistakes reloading (thank you TC for making strong firearms), I am now very much on the cautious side of things. So, if you want to shoot a subsonic round then get a barrel made to shoot a cartridge that can be safely loaded using published data to shoot at that speed (under 1126 ft/sec).

bottom line for me is it's my head next to the chamber... and I reload accordingly

I did try blue-dot in 223 many years ago, but couldn't get it to shoot anywhere near less than minute-of_barn... and the blow by made a mess of everything.

Honestly, I have all the barrels I want or could ever need..... wait, look, there's another!!
