i have owned the tc contender for over twenty years now. I've had the super 16 bbl in a 22 hornet for just as long. a few years back, i picked up a factory 23" 30/30. i have been reloading for these two rounds ever since i've owned them with decent accuracy. i purchased the 23" 204 ruger bbl this september and am shocked at how bad my reloading progress for this round is. i get tighter patterns with my old topper deluxe 12 ga single shot. granted, i haven't tried different bullets in it yet but,i'm not too sertain about dumping much more money into it. bullets used so far has been the nosler 32 gr ballistic tip. i've chosen this bullet from the start for it's ability to hold together upon impact. i have ordered other different bullets and am expecting them in soon. i've read a few options/suggestions to try some factory rounds but, i don't have any available for purchase in my area (thats why i reload). have any of you had this problem or knows anyone that has with the 204 ruger? i hope this bbl isn't a flop...
