This is my first post. I have to do this before I can post the message I wanted to post that includes a link.

This is more or less the message I wanted to post:

I've been around guns for 50 years but I am brand new to these Frankenpistols. I searched on "getting started" but got a bunch of unrelated links.

Are these pistols as simple as buying a frame set: http://www.hausofarms.com/TC-SS-Prohunter-Pistol-Frame_p_184 .html and slapping any barrel you want on it?

I found a used Leupold scoped TCC locally for $475 which seemed like a decent price. But it is chambered for 7mm TCU. Since I don't reload anymore I'm looking for a more common caliber. Or, assuming it is as simple as swapping out just the barrel would this be a good way to go?

Thanks for listening to a noob.
